In September 2011, O’Connor Electric worked on the construction of a multidisciplinary research and monitoring institute designed to assist in the protection and management of northern aquatic ecosystems.
Key highlights of the project included two new educational buildings on the shore of Ramsey Lake, a watershed building used or aquatic sample collections, a main building consisting of conference rooms and laboratories, extensive Lutron dimming controls, an extensive security system, 125 Kw natural gas generators and associated transfer switches, all designed to surpass LEED Platinum.
